A matched pair of c. 1950 lounge armchairs in original turquoise vinyl, set on splayed bronze-tone tubular legs with dark wooden paddle arms. - Pair (2) of mid-century lounge/occasional armchairs - Period: c. 1950, genuinely of the period - Materials: turquoise vinyl upholstery, stained hardwood arms, enamelled tubular steel frames - Seat height 15 in. (38 cm); low compact lounge scale - Condition: Good — light seat marking, minor dings to the arms - Strong original colour, rarely found as a true pair The angular splayed leg geometry and slim floating seat pans are exactly what collectors look for in early 1950s seating, and the surviving original turquoise vinyl gives the pair immediate visual punch in a den, sunroom or entry. Sold as found, they are perfectly serviceable as-is, and equally good candidates for a straightforward reupholstery in a period-appropriate boucle or wool. Condition is Good: sound and sittable, with light marking to the seats, minor usage dings to the wooden arms and scuffing to the leg finish.
