Frequently Asked Questions

Have a question not answered here? Reach out on our contact page.

How do I register to bid?

Click the "Register" button in the top navigation, fill in your name, email, and create a password. You will need to add a valid credit card before placing your first bid. Registration is free.

What is the buyer's premium?

A buyer's premium of 18% is added to the hammer price (winning bid) of each lot. For example, if you win a lot at $100, your total before tax would be $118. HST (13%) is then applied to the combined amount.

How does timed bidding work?

Each lot has a closing time. Bidding is open from the auction start until the scheduled close. If a bid is placed within the final 3 minutes of a lot's closing time, the lot is automatically extended by 3 minutes. This prevents last-second sniping and ensures all bidders have a fair opportunity.

Can I set a maximum bid?

Yes. When you place a bid, you can set a maximum amount. Our proxy bidding system will automatically bid on your behalf in the minimum increment necessary, up to your maximum. Your maximum bid is kept confidential.

When and how do I pay?

Your card on file is charged automatically when the auction closes. You will receive a payment receipt and detailed invoice by email within minutes. A valid credit card must be on file before you can place any bids.

How do I pick up my items?

After payment is confirmed, you will receive pickup instructions including our location in the Kawartha Lakes area, available dates, and hours. You will need to bring a valid photo ID. For large items, we recommend bringing a helper and appropriate vehicle.

Do you offer delivery?

Yes. We can arrange local delivery within the Kawartha Lakes and Greater Toronto Area for an additional fee. Shipping to other Canadian provinces is also available for smaller items. Delivery quotes are provided upon request after the auction.

Can I return an item after the auction?

All sales are final. We encourage bidders to attend preview events, read condition reports carefully, and ask questions before bidding. We do our best to accurately describe and photograph every lot, but all items are sold as-is.
